Bulky freight is cargo whose physical size or shape creates a significant space or handling requirement. It can be relatively light while still taking up a large part of a vehicle or needing special loading arrangements.
Weight is only part of the picture
A long display cabinet may weigh less than a compact crate of metal parts but occupy more usable vehicle space. Projections, fragile surfaces and a shape that prevents stacking can further restrict how other goods are loaded around it.
Measure the cargo as it will actually travel. Protective packaging, a wooden base and corner protection all count towards the finished dimensions.

Bulky does not automatically mean oversized
An item can be bulky yet fit a standard vehicle. Oversized transport involves dimensions or weights that exceed the limits of the proposed equipment or applicable road rules. The actual measurements determine which issue applies.
