Machinery transport starts with an assessment of the finished load and the facilities at both sites. Cargo Euro Hub can assess commercial machinery movements within its confirmed coverage, subject to the equipment, route and handling requirements being accepted for the booking.
Prepare a technical shipment profile
Provide the machine type, new or used condition, packed dimensions and gross weight. Identify the centre of gravity, approved lifting points and any orientation restrictions using the manufacturer’s information. Add photographs and a drawing where the shape is unusual.
Prepare the machine for movement
Have competent personnel isolate and prepare it according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Secure moving assemblies and protect controls, exposed shafts and sensitive surfaces. Declare batteries, fluids, pressurised systems or other features that may affect acceptance or preparation.
The machine needs a suitable base, crate or transport frame. Wrapping alone does not prevent a heavy item from shifting, and a convenient attachment point is not necessarily a rated lifting point.
Agree loading and unloading
Confirm which party supplies the forklift, crane or other equipment. Check access, lifting capacity and the planned placement point. Do not assume the road carrier also provides dismantling, rigging or installation.
Before collection
Measure the completed package and check that the packing list and booking agree. For customs movements, prepare the appropriate value, origin and classification information, particularly for used machinery or a movement for repair.
