Identify the correct part
Use part numbers, model compatibility and serial numbers where relevant. Label each package and list any accessories, seals or fittings supplied with the main item. For an exchange, distinguish the outbound replacement from the returning core.
Match packaging to the component
A small precision part and a heavy cast assembly require different protection. Prevent movement inside the package, protect vulnerable surfaces and use a suitable base for concentrated weight. Do not hide batteries, fluids or hazardous components within a generic spare-parts description.
Explain urgency precisely
