A Euro pallet follows a recognised standard format; a one-way pallet is generally supplied for a particular movement without an assumed exchange cycle. Either type must be sound and suitable for the goods, handling equipment and route.

Choose the base around the goods
A custom-sized item may be better supported by an appropriately designed one-way pallet than by a standard base with overhang. Conversely, a customer’s warehouse may require a particular pallet format for its storage and receiving process.
Check the consignee’s requirements before packing, especially for logistics-centre deliveries.
Do not assume pallet exchange
Using a Euro pallet does not automatically include an exchange service in a Cargo Euro Hub booking. Availability, responsibility and any cost must be agreed. Record what was actually handed over if pallet accounting matters to your business.
Consider the route
Wood packaging requirements can apply on relevant international movements. Check the destination’s rules and the pallet’s treatment markings rather than assuming all wooden pallets are suitable for every border crossing.
