There is no single price for shipping one pallet across Europe. The same pallet can require very different transport arrangements depending on its route, weight, height, stackability and the facilities at both addresses.
Describe the finished unit
Provide the outer length, width and height, including the pallet base and packaging. Include the pallet and protective materials in the gross weight. State whether the goods overhang, are fragile or cannot support other freight.
A pallet described only as a “Euro pallet” is not sufficiently specified: the base format does not tell the manager the total height, weight or handling restrictions.
Explain both stops
- Full collection and delivery postcodes.
- Business opening hours and contact details.
- Forklift, loading dock or other available equipment.
- Any need for a tail lift.
- Island location, restricted entrance or booked delivery slot.
Choose an appropriate service
Groupage can suit a standard pallet where the schedule allows a shared network. A dedicated vehicle may suit a different deadline or handling requirement. The most appropriate option depends on the shipment rather than the pallet count alone.
For a useful comparison, ask for offers based on identical data and check their included services and VAT treatment. Do not use a price for a previous route as confirmation of the next booking.
