A previous pallet delivery price is a useful record, but it is not a standing offer for every future shipment. Capacity, operating costs, the route and the actual collection and delivery requirements can change between bookings.

Check the shipment first

Compare the current order with the earlier one. Differences in height, weight, pallet count, stackability or access can change the transport requirement even when the goods themselves are similar.

For example, delivery to a warehouse with a forklift and delivery to a small shop without unloading equipment are different jobs. The same destination city does not make the service identical.

Timing also matters

A new collection date may have different vehicle availability. A fixed appointment, urgent request or island connection can restrict the practical options. A quotation has its own validity and assumptions; it should be reconfirmed if the planned booking falls outside them.

How to understand a changed offer

Ask the manager which inputs changed and whether the service scope is the same. Provide the previous quotation reference if you want a comparison. This makes it easier to distinguish a market-related change from a shipment-related one.

Keep a reusable shipment specification with current weights, dimensions and address information. Accurate repeat enquiries reduce avoidable changes caused by incomplete data.
